John Hershey, the photographer who did the photos for the "Faces of Bodega Bay”—a project of photos and bios of some of the people who work and live in Bodega Bay and make it what it is—has arranged with the Bodega Bay Post Office to show some of the work of local artists for the holiday season. I am one of the “Faces” and one of my pieces will be shown in this holiday display. So if you are visiting Bodega Bay, stop in at the Post Office and see the work of Janet Elmore, Jean Warren, John Hershey. Linda Sorenson and me. A gift for all.

Pandemic

My work has slowed down during the pandemic: no shows and worries about family and friends! But I am still looking forward to the Salmon Creek Art Walk in May of 2021, with fingers crossed.

In the meantime, here is a new piece: I’ve got my eye on you

Sebastopol Center for the Arts Virtual Online Studios

I am participating in the Sebastopol Center for the Arts Virtual Online Studios program!

“…an extraordinary re-visioning of our Open Studio programs for 2020, in light of the unprecedented coronavirus situation. SCA has adapted its signature spring and fall programs, Art at the Source and Sonoma County Art Trails, creating an opportunity for the public to engage with Sonoma County fine artists despite the challenges presented by the pandemic. The public is invited to engage with participating artists virtually on a brand new, beautiful online platform…”

Art at the Source Cancelled

Art at the Source open studios, usually held the first two weeks in June, has been cancelled. My next show, hopefully, will be in November! Be safe, stay at home and do art!

Art At The Source!

One of my favorite open studio events of the year is here!

“Art at the Source offers the opportunity to enjoy Sonoma County’s legendary scenic beauty as one drives through the countryside visiting participating studios. Studio locations range from the coastal villages of Jenner and Bodega Bay, to the inland communities of Valley Ford, Monte Rio, Guerneville, Forestville, Graton, Sebastopol, Occidental and West Santa Rosa. Renowned for its thriving artist community and bohemian culture, West Sonoma County is rich with stunning landscapes, superb California cuisine and world‐class wineries. This makes for an ideal weekend escape for tourists and locals alike.”
